Dony.Taormina By Steve Ayorinde: 4 1/4 the short film of Jaime Aymerich

It was certainly not out of place at the festival to have had a blast from the past in 4 1/4, Andre Johnson's dreamlike experimental film that took inspiration from Fellini. One of the longest shorts and one of the most interesting, the film shows an interesting engagement with the camera by the African-American director. Shot in black and white, with the camera treating the characters like art works, it is easy to get into the tale of a photographer's vision of all the women in his life.
