Three of a Kind movie Idaho with Jaime Aymerich

BOISE — Hollywood and New York may be the first cities you think of when you think of movie locations, but you might think about adding Boise to that list.

A local production company is shooting a movie in Boise called “Three of a Kind.”

The producer describes it as a psychological thriller centered around a woman who is ruthlessly controlled by her husband.

The producer said it’s like a Quentin Tarantino movie, but without the Quentin Tarantino budget.

The movie will be filmed entirely in Boise and the Treasure Valley. Forty percent of the crew is from our area, which gives the local economy a much-needed boost.

“Boise has been just incredible,” said Catrine McGregor-Unger, a producer on the film. “Everybody here from police to the hotel where we are staying. It’s just been one of the easiest places to shoot I’ve ever worked in.”

‘Three of a Kind’ is scheduled to wrap up filming in Boise and the Treasure Valley by mid-October.
