A Beautiful Secret tells the inspiring story of a unique friendship that develops between a famous, elderly writer and a young boy whose life is changed by the bond that develops between them Katy Jurado 1 (Esperanza) gives a powerful performance as reclusive writer living in a crumbling mansion in Mexico City, in the last role before her death. Jorge (Imanol) is a kid with attitude, suspended from school, who encounters a whole new world on the other side of the walls that surround the mysterious mansion. He battles with his mother and school teacher, but turns to the old woman to learn about life and Mexican culture while she rediscovers herself through him. Years later Jorge (Jaime Aymerich) recounts his past when he discovers the secret of esperanza. Both humorous and dramatic this Mexican film touches the heart of all who see it.
